Jamal Abu Issa
President and CEO

Mr. Abu Issa is the founding President and CEO of Omnix. In the early 1980s he was working with imaging and display technologies before noticing the growing demand from clients that wanted solutions, which shared information across their business.

Being entrepreneurial, this subsequently led to a journey of discovery across Europe and North America meeting clients and technical and solutions providers. This enabled Mr. Abu Issa to fully understand how Information Technology could be utilized by businesses to make them more structured, efficient, accountable and ultimately more profitable.

In 1987 Mr. Abu Issa founded Omnix International based on the principle of delivering service excellence through a full understanding of a client's business, its market and internal functions. Today Omnix employs approximately 1100 staff and services blue chip clients across 10 countries in the region.

Prior to Omnix International, Mr. Abu Issa was the General Manager of Salam Studio and Stores, a leading UAE retailer. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from USIU University in San Diego, California, USA.

Muraleedharan Pillai
Senior Vice President

Mr. Pillai joined Omnix in 1995, as part of the senior management team, heading the Finance and Administration departments as Vice President. In 1998, he was entrusted with additional operational responsibilities with the required authority, freedom and flexibility to evaluate and restructure the entire operations of Omnix under the direction and guidance of Mr. Jamal Abu Issa.

After assuming the operational responsibilities, he has made substantial contribution to the growth and profitability of Omnix, and in setting up various operating divisions and their growth strategies and plans. His dedication, planning and motivation to employees at all levels played a major role in establishing Omnix as a major IT player in the region.

In his current role as Senior Vice President, he works very closely with the President in communicating and implementing his vision and mission across Omnix. All operating Divisions General Managers report directly to him as well as the senior executives of Finance & Administration, HR and Planning Control functions.

He has been playing a major role in achieving the corporate objectives and continuous growth of Omnix by providing timely decision, support, guidance and in developing the team spirit, loyalty, business ethics and best practices at all levels across Omnix. He is also responsible for the regional expansion plans, growth programs of existing lines of business as well as in exploring and establishing new business opportunities.

Mr. Pillai is a graduate in Commerce from University of Madras, India and holds an M.B.A. from India. After his graduation in Commerce, he started his professional career with a reputed National Bank in India in 1977. Prior to joining Omnix and since 1980 he was associated with the Salam Group's business and served in many key management positions in their U.A.E operations in finance, operations, strategic planning and control.

Mohammad Hasan Metla
Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Metla joined Omnix International in February 2009 and was appointed as Chief Financial Officer since the beginning of 2012. He is responsible for the financial management of Omnix, overseeing all financial and operational activities.

His duties as CFO range from financial management of the company, overseeing all financial and operational activities, to setting strategic direction of the company, competitive positioning, business development, go-to-market initiatives and devising growth strategies.

Prior to Omnix, he was a Principal / Case Team Leader in the Corporate Advisory and Private Equity practice at The Parthenon Group in Boston, USA. At Parthenon, Mr. Metla's core expertise was advising companies and private equity firms in various areas such as M&A, Due Diligence and Market Entry Strategy, among others.

Before The Parthenon Group, Mr. Metla was a Principal at Milestone Venture Partners (MVP), an early to growth stage venture fund focusing on technology enhanced business services based in New York. Prior to MVP, Mr. Metla was a part of the founding management team at Adexa that helped to grow the supply chain software company to revenues in excess of US$52 MM in 3 years.

Mr. Metla received his M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania and holds a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering (with honors) from Carnegie Mellon University.
