Job Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage 3D BIM models for interior design projects, including walls, partitions, flooring, ceiling systems, furniture, fixtures, finishes, and other interior elements using Autodesk Revit.
  • Collaborate closely with interior designers, architects, engineers, and other team members to ensure accurate representation of design concepts within the Revit models.
  • Develop detailed drawings, schedules, and specifications for interior design elements from the BIM model, ensuring all project requirements are met.
  • Ensure design models are updated regularly to reflect any design changes, revisions, and project updates.
  • Work with project teams to identify and resolve design clashes, conflicts, and other issues within the BIM model using clash detection tools.
  • Coordinate and integrate interior design models with architectural, structural, and MEP models to ensure effective collaboration and coordination across disciplines.
  • Develop and maintain Revit families for interior design elements, including custom furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Generate and manage interior design drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details, from the BIM model.
  • Ensure compliance with BIM standards, industry best practices, and internal protocols throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in project meetings to present design progress, discuss challenges, and suggest innovative solutions to enhance project outcomes.
  • Maintain organized file management, ensuring proper version control and timely updates to all project models and documentation.
  • Assist in producing high-quality visualizations and renderings of interior spaces for client presentations and design reviews.
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in BIM technologies, interior design trends, and relevant software updates.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in using BIM software, particularly Autodesk Revit, to model interior design projects.
  • In-depth understanding of interior design principles, materials, finishes, and furnishings.
  • Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit, including Revit families, templates, and BIM workflows.
  • Experience with interior design documentation, including space planning, material selection, and design detailing.
  • Familiarity with BIM standards, project file organization, and model management protocols.
  • Strong knowledge of interior construction methods, building codes, and industry standards.
  • Excellent collaboration skills to work in a multidisciplinary team and coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and contractors.
  • Experience with clash detection, model coordination, and issue resolution using BIM tools such as Navisworks or BIM 360 is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certification in Revit or other relevant BIM software.
  • Experience with rendering and visualization tools such as Enscape, Lumion, or V-Ray for creating high-quality interior design presentations.
  • Familiarity with sustainable design practices and energy-efficient interior solutions.
  • Previous experience with large-scale commercial, hospitality, or residential interior projects.
  • Knowledge of construction management processes and integration with BIM tools.
