We are seeking a Planning Engineer with experience in villa communities, buildings, and infrastructure projects to join our team. In this role, you will serve as a project control engineer/specialist, leveraging your expertise in project controls, scheduling, and earned value management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Evaluate and verify planning and scheduling information from updated/progress schedules.
  • Identify potential areas of delay/slippage and propose mitigation measures/recovery plans.
  • Prepare regular progress reports and monthly reports with program analysis and recommendations.
  • Review and approve the Engineer/Contractors’ Baseline schedule of works.
  • Ensure compatibility of assigned resources for timely project completion.
  • Develop Masterplan integrating multiple packages and assess their interdependencies.
  • Identify potential risks/conflicts and document them in the Project Risk Register.
  • Conduct detailed assessment of complex claims, including Extension of Time and Disruption.
  • Coordinate with contractors, employers, and clients to resolve planning and scheduling issues.
  • Attend various meetings and provide valuable inputs, preparing concise minutes of meetings.
  • Prepare Trackers/Logs to monitor critical issues during Design and Construction stages.
  • Communicate effectively with management and diverse professionals, providing reasoned responses to contractor notices.
  • Maintain proper record-keeping of project contemporary records.
  • Issue delay notices for contractor culpable delays and manage planning engineers’ team.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Minimum 15+ years of experience in planning and scheduling engineering and construction activities.
  • Extensive experience in villa communities, buildings, and infrastructure projects.
  • Strong experience in finalizing Extension of Time (EOT) claims.
  • Ability to manage consultants and contractors on-site.
  • Experience in large-scale developments in the Gulf region.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations.
