- Lead technical discussions with external teams on security, network, and infrastructure topics.
- Engage in detailed technical conversations around APIs covering endpoints, versioning, authentication, and rate limiting.
- Design, document, and publish APIs following REST and SOAP best practices.
- Keep documentation clean and complete. That includes readable code, in-app documentation, and full handover packages such as Low-Level Designs and API documentation for clients.
Leadership and Collaboration
- Mentor and coach junior and intermediate Mendix developers on best practices and more advanced techniques.
- Lead solution-design workshops, sprint planning sessions, and refinement meetings.
- Work closely with product owners, business analysts, and stakeholders to clarify requirements, refine user stories, and agree on acceptance criteria.
- Promote consistent use of Mendix best practices and reusable components across the team.

Quality Assurance and Lifecycle Management
- Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and Git branching strategies.
- Run unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests, including full System Integration Testing.
- Diagnose and fix complex bugs including integration failures, performance issues, and concurrency problems, often under tight timelines.

- Advanced SQL skills covering complex queries, joins, indexing, and performance tuning.
- Proven experience carrying out Mendix major version upgrades.
- Strong Mendix Mobile experience covering offline and sync logic, performance optimization, secure storage and encryption, and managing app builds, signing, and store distribution for iOS and Android.
- Solid understanding of enterprise networking concepts including certificates, firewalls, and proxy configurations.
